Elevation Sailing Invited to the 2026 Youth Match Racing World Championship

Elevation Sailing has been officially invited to compete at the 2026 Youth Match Racing World Championship, set to take place in Middelfart, Denmark from June 21–25, 2026.

The invitation confirms the team’s position among the leading youth match racing programs globally, in one of the sport’s most demanding formats. Identical boats,

short races, and no margins for error.

The Crew

Christopher Oben (SVK)

A product of six years in the ILCA class, including a World Sailing Youth Worlds appearance, Chris has transitioned into high-performance keelboat racing. He is a 69F European bronze medallist and finished 2nd overall in the 2025 69F Cup season. Following his invitation in 2025, this marks his second consecutive selection for the Youth Match Racing World Championship.

Bryce Musto (GBR)

One of the UK’s top emerging sailors, Bryce has competed at national and international level as part of the leading British junior 29er program. Now in the UK Olympic Pathway with the 49er Transition Squad — joined as the youngest athlete — he brings structure, discipline, and proven experience across fleet, team, and

match racing.

Camilla Svensson (DEN)

World and European Champion in the Europe class, Camilla combines elite results with versatility across multiple classes. A 29er Euro Cup winner and 4th place finisher at the BLU26 European Championship, she adds both high-performan

ce experience and a strong background in match racing environments.

Ricard Garriga (ESP)

Specialising in ILCA 7 and keelboats, Ricard competes internationally with a focus on continuous progression. His discipline, adaptability, and work ethic make him a reliable and performance-driven team member in high-pressure racing environments.

The Event

Hosted on the Little Belt, Middelfart is one of Europe’s most technical match racing venues. Narrow race areas, shifting breeze, and current create a racing environment where positioning, timing, and execution are critical.

Raced in supplied one-design Blu26 keelboats, the championship removes equipment variables entirely, placing full emphasis on decision-making, communication, and consistency across a high-intensity series.
